LAYERS

So why does AutoCAD call a set of lines with set characteristics a layer? Adobe CS has layers which are all just bits of the picture that you can change the draw order on but these layers nesicaraly reside in different planes. AutoCAD is a vector-based drawing program based on an X, Y, Z coordinate space, so why is it that in a 2D drawing, all the "layers" share the same plane?

Layers should be stacked like delicious, delicious cake. SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME.

An Idea, a plan, Panama.

I've had this idea for a while now and because I have a Blogger blog now I am officially IMPORTANT and MY IDEAS MATTER. Additionally, I'm a college student, not a SELF-IMPORTANT DOUCHE and because of this fact, my sense of self-importance and idea of personal relevancy is currently hovering somewhere below "DOUCHE".

Back to this idea of mine.

I'm going to try my hand at a webcomic. I'll most likely crash and burn in an epic way, but that should be fun to watch too, right? After all, any scientist who studded something as boring as people will tell you that THE MOST COMMON CAUSE OF LAUGHTER IS THE DISCOMFORT OF OTHERS, and as the level of discomfort approaches soul-crushing emotional agony, laughter approaches ORGASM.

The first edition of this theoretical webcomic is currently an IDEA which is kind of like a promise but without the moral obligations of fulfilling it. I've got what i hope will be a unique twist on the xkcd formula by creating my comics in AutoCAD (thus AutoCOMIC; clever, I know).

LET'S SEE WHERE THIS GOES.
